   Clinical Attachment / Work Placement

The Medical Education Department at Dubai Health Authority (DHA) receives frequent requests from people for Clinical Attachments/ Work Placements and wishing to observe clinical practice at DHA hospitals.
    The aims are to insure that:
  • Patient safety, security and confidentiality are maintained.
  • The individual concerned is aware of the limits of the attachment status.
  • To regularize and standardize the system of clinical attachments/ Work Placement, ensuring coverage of all relevant legal aspects.


Due to the current pandemic situation, it is mandatory for all Clinical Attachment applicants to provide the Covid19 test report on the joining date along with the other Medical test reports.

If your training was suspended due to the covid- 19, please contact the clinical attachments team before any application process.

Period of Attachment/Placement:
The minimum period of attachment is 2 weeks and the maximum is 12 weeks in one year.

General Principles:
  • All clinical attachments/work placements are subject to pre- placement checks and the applicant will not be able to commence until the checks have been completed.
  • All Attaches must submit the Official Health Clearance Certificate at or before the time of commencement. You will not be permitted to be in contact with patients without such evidence .
    1. Evidence of immunity to:
      • Hepatitis B
      • Measles and Rubella
    2. Evidence of negative status with respect to:
      • HIV
      • Hepatitis B
      • Hepatitis C
      • TB
      • Syphilis (VDRL)
  • Only online applications, through this website, will be accepted.
  • Please make sure to apply online no less than 4 weeks before the attachment/placement starting date.
  • To apply for Clinical Attachment / Work Placement at DHA, please ensure that you follow the steps below in sequence:
    1. Register with ( if you already registered skip this step)
      1. create account with (Click here for registration).
      2. activate your account using the security code sent to your email.
    2. Login with your account at
    3. Update your profile information:
      1. update your profile picture with your photo.
      2. update your profile adding your Qualifications , Experience with proofing documents if applicable.
      3. add personal documents needed for Clinical attachment to your user profile as below:
        1. Updated CV.
        2. Good Standing Certificate:
          • If you are a student, provide updated letter "To Whom It May Concern" from your University.
          • If you are an employee, provide updated letter "To Whom It May Concern" from your Employer.
          • Other wise, provide updated "Police Clearance Certifcate" from relevant Ministry of Interior Agency /Police Department/Equivalent.
        3. Passport copy.
        4. Visa copy: illustrates that the applicant has permission to stay in the UAE for the duration of the clinical attachment / work placement.
